细胞与分子生物学研究所成立于2006年,2008年被批准为武汉科技大学校级重点实验室。实验室主要有2个大的研究领域,一是将电生理技术与分子生物学技术相结合,形成了心脏电生理研究、心肌力学和细胞膜离子通道表达调控的研究方向。另外还重点研究Myocardin家族相关转录因子与其它调节因子相互作用对心脑血管疾病相关基因表达的调控,在基因转录水平探讨Myocardin家族相关转录因子对细胞增殖、分化和凋亡基因表达调控的分子机制。
目前本实验室有10人,其中6人有博士学历,2位有海外留学和工作经历,2位实验室管理人员。在神经心脏电生理、心肌力学和细胞膜离子通道表达调控研究方面处于国内领先水平。
